PADEL IS TOUGH ON GEAR.
Scratches and signs of play are normal. What matters is protecting your racket from unnecessary impact, extreme heat, moisture and poor storage.
PROTECT.
Avoid unnecessary contact with the ground, glass, fencing and other rackets.
STORE.
Keep your racket somewhere dry, secure and protected when you're not using it.
MAINTAIN.
Replace worn grips and check your racket regularly for anything unusual.

USE A RACKET BAG.
Keep your racket protected while travelling and between games.
KEEP IT DRY.
Wipe away excess moisture or sweat before storing your racket.
CHANGE YOUR GRIP.
A worn grip can become slippery and make the racket harder to control.
CHECK THE FRAME.
Look over your racket every now and then for unusual cracks, separation or structural damage.

TREAT IT LIKE A HAMMER.
Your racket is built for padel balls. Not court surfaces, fences or frustration.
Don't strike the ground or glass deliberately.
Don't leave it in a hot car for long periods.
Don't store it wet or damp.
Don't throw it into your bag with heavy objects on top.
Don't ignore unusual cracks or structural changes.
03 / HEAT
YOUR CAR IS NOT STORAGE.
South African summers can get hot. Avoid leaving your racket exposed to excessive heat for long periods, especially inside a parked vehicle.
04 / OVERGRIP
IF IT'S SLIPPERY, CHANGE IT.
Overgrips wear down with use, sweat and friction. If your grip feels smooth, slippery or uncomfortable, it's probably time for a fresh one.
A secure grip can also reduce the chance of the racket slipping from your hand during play.
NORMAL WEAR
SCRATCHES HAPPEN.
Small surface marks can happen through normal play.
Grips are consumable and will need replacing over time.
Contact with court structures can leave chips or scratches.
